Nasdaq Dubai Murabahah platform passes $100 billion in Islamic financing


In 2018, transactions on Nasdaq Dubai have reached $28.8 billion, a 23 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2017.

Islamic financing transactions on the Nasdaq Dubai Murabahah platform have exceeded a total of $100 billion.

Nasdaq Dubai Murabahah platform was jointly established by Nasdaq Dubai and Emirates Islamic, the platform meets needs ranging from funding for corporate growth and expansion to personal finance for retail customers. 

Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Chairman of Emirates Islamic, said, "We are delighted to be able to announce the $100 billion Murabahah milestone during Islamic Economy Week, during which Dubai is celebrating many achievements in Shari’ah a-compliant finance and hosting discussions on how to further develop the sector.”
